This six-part video series called the Differences that Divide the UMC is created by Rev. Rob Renfroe. In this series, Rev. Renfroe explains the theological and spiritual issues surrounding the division within the United Methodist Church.  Each part of the series is 15 minutes or less. 

Reverend Renfroe has been the President and Publisher of Good News since 2009. He has been involved in United Methodist renewal and reform for many years, having served as the President of the Board of Directors of The Confessing Movement within the UMC before taking the leadership role at Good News.

Rob is also the Loft Lead Pastor at The Woodlands United Methodist Church in The Woodlands, Texas.

Rob, a graduate of Rice University and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, has served The Woodlands United Methodist Church for 16 years. Rob and his wife, Peggy, have two sons, Stephen and Ian. 

The following are five informative videos of a Chapin United Methodist Church congregational meeting held on March 20, 2022. The meeting was about the potential split of the United Methodist Church and was facilitated by Reverend Jody Flowers, Senior Pastor of Chapin UMC in Chapin, S.C.

Reverend Flowers does an excellent job breaking down these issues to create a better understanding of our past and how we arrived at where we are today.
